Happy Mother's Day!

Dear Parents and Students,

And so we came to the end of IOWA Assessment Week 2012.  It was a very tiring week for all students.  However, the Gr.3’s stayed positive and motivated during this tough week.  They all made me proud.

After a week of IOWA Assessment the mid-semester break has come at the right time for the students.  Next week Thursday and Friday, May 17th and 18th, there will be no school.  Everyone, please enjoy this time with your families and friends.  Enjoy the rest!

Sunday, May 13th, is Mother’s Day.  Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms.  Thank you for all the love and support you are giving your children.  Those are two of the most important things a child needs.  Mothers, I hope you can sit back, with your feet up, and get spoiled well J !

Everyone, do not forget to reserve your tickets for Annie, which will take place on May 25th!  I am getting more excited by the day as the date is getting closer!  This show is going to be one of this year’s highlights!!!

Curriculum Planning for Week 15:
Math:  We will complete and review Chapter 20.
English:  We will start writing our own opinion essay. (step-by-step)
Reading:  We will finish activities based on Pepita Talks Twice.
Social Studies:  We will completer Chapter 11.

There are no tests scheduled for the short Week 15.

Elsa Son’s birthday is on Sunday, May 13th.  Happy birthday, Elsa.  We hope that you will have a great day and we wish you a wonderful year ahead.

Our Student of the Week is Elsa Son.  Elsa is a very caring and responsible student.  She is a good example to others.  Congratulations, Elsa!  You are a star!

Have a relaxing weekend, everyone!
