Awareness Week ~ Anti-bullying 2011

What a fun Awareness Week we have had!  We have learned a lot and our class is a Bully-Free-Zone!  Here are some pictures that were taken during the week:

Our Thanksgiving Lunch is next week, November 24^th.  Letters were sent home today as a reminder.  Again, thank you for signing up and I am looking forward seeing you and having Thanksgiving lunch with you.

Math:  2 review pages; Review Chapter 6

Spelling:  Parents, please sign the test.  Students, do corrections (X10)

English:  p.48; Review Unit 4

Third Graders, keep in mind that our annual Spelling Bee is around the corner!  This exciting event will take place on Friday, December 9^th.  So read as much as possible and focus on the spelling of words!

Curriculum Planning for Week 13:

Math:  We will start with Chapter 8, Multiplication Concepts.  Also remember that our test on Chapters 6 & 7 is scheduled for Wednesday, November 23^rd. 

Science:  We will continue with and complete Chapter 5, Food Chains. 

English:  We completed Unit 4 in Week 12.  We will review it and do additional exercises on Unit 4.  We will then move on to Unit 5, Capitalization and Punctuation.  Remember about the test on Unit 4 that is scheduled for November 25^th.

Social Studies:  The third graders did very well in their Social Studies test.  Congratulations, Grade 3!

Reading:  In week 13 we will start with our third theme, Incredible Stories.  We will read and discuss our first selection named Dogzilla.
