Dear Parents and
Students,
Another week has
flown by! The third graders are all
doing very well.
Next week is
going to be a super fun week! On
Wednesday is our annual Fancy Dress Day!
It is a very exciting event for all of us! Well, my costume is ready to be worn! I cannot wait! Excitement!!!! Parents, you are more than welcome to come
and join us on Wednesday, October 26th. All the classes will be gathered on the
basketball court at 9.20am. Look out for the third and fourth graders! We have a fun song and dance to share with
you all!!!
There will be no
school next week Thursday and Friday, October 27th and 28th. It is our midterm break. The following Monday, October 31st,
is only school for all the teachers.
Students, enjoy the extra day off!
Students will be
getting an assignment for November 1st. They have to complete a book report. The book report forms will be given to them
on October 26th. Also
Students, keep in mind that November 10th is getting closer. That is the big day of our Science
Presentations. We want the public to be
aware of endangered animals. So please
make sure you spend a lot of time on your presentation. Use your time wisely! J
On November 3rd
we will have our HIS Fun Day. All the
students got their teams and themes.
Students, dress up like your theme.
It will add to the spirit, fun and success of the Fun Day. Watch out for me! I will be a FARMER!!! J
Curriculum Planning for Week 9:
Math: We
will write Math test on Monday, October 24th. The test will be on Chapter 4 and 5. For the rest of the week we will have fun
with some P.O.W. activities.
Science: We
will be working on the Science Presentations.
Social
Studies: We will study and finish Chapter 5.
Because we have a
short week, with the Fancy Dress Day as well, we will not be learning new
spelling words or write spelling test in Week 9.
On Wednesday,
October 26th, we will have a day filled with fun! We have our parade and songs at 9.20am. Then we will have fun relay-races with the
Fourth Graders. We will also make spider
cupcakes! In the afternoon we will watch
a movie together with the Fourth Graders.
