The End of Week 5


Dear Parents and Students,

I hope you all had a great week.  Everything went smoothly in the Grade 3 classroom this week.

Curriculum Planning for Week 6:
Math:  We will continue with Chapter 4 and learn and practice more Addition.
English:  We will start with Unit 3 in Week 6.  Unit 3 is about Verbs.  Remember, on Tuesday, October 4th, we are writing test on Unit 2.
Science:  We will continue with Chapter 2 and learn more about animals that are invertebrates.
Social Studies:  Test, on Chapter 3, will take place on Monday, October 3rd.
Reading:  We read two new stories in Week 5.  They are part of our second theme, Celebrating Traditions.  Their titles are The Keeping Quilt and Grandma’s Records.
Oral:  Students will get a new oral presentation assignment on Thursday.

Spelling:  Parents, please sign the test.  Students, do corrections (X 10)

Our Student of the Week is Elsa Son.  Elsa is a great example of someone who is responsible!  (Responsible is our Word of the Month for September)  Congratulations, Elsa.
